Industrial Caulk & Seal Raising the Bar for Worksite Safety

The hazards one might experience daily are multiplied upon entering a construction site and safety cannot be assumed. Industrial Caulk & Seal Inc. is more than aware of that and is putting forth an immense amount of effort to ensure each of their employees is not only aware of the hazards they may face but knows the correct measures to take to identify and prevent a mishap.

Industrial Caulk & Seal Playing their Part in Modernizing Downtown Baltimore

Industrial Caulk & Seal has been contracted to participate in the renovation of a library in downtown Baltimore City. The design of the renovation was won through a competition in which 6 architect firms competed for their design; Each with the end goal to modernize the 55,337 square foot building. The winning architect had polished concrete throughout most of the building which resulted in Industrial Caulk & Seal having the opportunity to leave their own mark in the renovation and modernization of historic downtown Baltimore!

As visible in the pictures this old, existing concrete is taking on the shine of polished concrete beautifully. Industrial Caulk & Seal, with the help of the general contractor decided it would be best to complete this project in two phases. The first phase being a heavy grind prior to walls and partitions being installed. The second mobilization which was on the back end of the project consisted of polishing the rest of the concrete. The benefit of breaking up the grinding and polishing into two mobilizations for a rehab building is limiting the edge work and making a more aesthetically pleasing look.

Please give ICS a call about your old concrete floors and how we can make them shine like this library!

Industrial Caulk & Seal completes a plethora of repairs to restore and finish floor

Industrial Caulk & Seal has been contracted to repair and restore the floor in an office building located in downtown Washington DC. The customer’s goal was to have one of Industrial Caulk & Seal’s beautiful diamond polished floors ICS provided on other floors in the same building. Once uncovered, the existing concrete floor displayed a large amount of damages to include bolt holes, extensive cracking, even concrete that was dramatically bellied in some areas.

In order to obtain the customers desired look, ICS had to start by eliminating the repairs one at a time. The cracks and bolt holes were repaired using Metzger McGuire’s Rapid Refloor. The belly was repaired using CTS, Rapid Set Tru, a concrete overlayment/inlayment material. Once all repairs were laid, they were ground down by hand to match the existing concrete seamlessly.

With all the repairs completed, Industrial Caulk and Seal was able to finish the floor using the SASE Signature Diamond Polishing process. Leaving behind another beautiful polished concrete floor free of any prior flaws!

Since 2001, Industrial Caulk & Seal Inc. has mastered the skills to provide innovative and quality solutions to even the most complex commercial and industrial caulking and concrete flooring needs. With an experienced team of experts, industry leading equipment, and an unwavering commitment to excellence, ICS continuously strives to provide high quality work and a terrific customer experience. ICS has the right people, right equipment, right solutions, right results, right now.
