Industrial Caulk & Seal Playing their Part in Modernizing Downtown Baltimore
Industrial Caulk & Seal has been contracted to participate in the renovation of a library in downtown Baltimore City. The design of the renovation was won through a competition in which 6 architect firms competed for their design; Each with the end goal to modernize the 55,337 square foot building. The winning architect had polished concrete throughout most of the building which resulted in Industrial Caulk & Seal having the opportunity to leave their own mark in the renovation and modernization of historic downtown Baltimore!
As visible in the pictures this old, existing concrete is taking on the shine of polished concrete beautifully. Industrial Caulk & Seal, with the help of the general contractor decided it would be best to complete this project in two phases. The first phase being a heavy grind prior to walls and partitions being installed. The second mobilization which was on the back end of the project consisted of polishing the rest of the concrete. The benefit of breaking up the grinding and polishing into two mobilizations for a rehab building is limiting the edge work and making a more aesthetically pleasing look.
Please give ICS a call about your old concrete floors and how we can make them shine like this library!
